Hendrix's nursery is BY FAR my most favorite room in the house. A lot of blood, sweat and tears went into that room. Well, mostly the latter. The chevron ceiling is definitely what was the most challenging and I can tell you that it will NEVER EVERRRRRR happen again. But in the end it was totally worth it because it looks awesome!! My husband is such a great man to do all of the tracing, taping and painting. The ceiling took three weeks. And once that was finished we were able to put the rest of the nursery together.
The background behind the theme goes a lil something like this:
In my household growing up, we listened to my parents LP albums A LOT. And it was all mostly 60's and 70's rock so I grew up with a real appreciation of those decades and I still love the music of those days more than anything. I grew up listening to my dad strum on his guitar and grew up LOVING the Beatles. Mom and Dad had this wicked velvet painting of John Lennon that I absolutely LOVEDDDDD. So when mom and dad divorced, dad gave me this beloved painting as well as all of his albums. Fast forward many many years and the albums were still all at my mom's taking up space and the Lennon painting had spent its last ten years either under a bed or up in the attic.
Before we knew we were having another boy, we had a lonnnngggg list of girl names that we couldn't decide on but we only had one for a boy. And that was set in stone. JACK HENDRIX. Jack because it's a family name on Chad's side and Hendrix...well, yes...because of Jimi Hendrix, THE greatest guitar player OF ALL TIME.
So because of all of these great things we decided to do a rock n roll nursery so I could finally display all of the things that I loved most about my childhood. AND my dad gave me his awesome vintage guitars that we just hung tonight so I don't have pictures yet. But if u can picture it, they are hanging on the wall on both sides of the album display.

32 weeks
32 weeks today. Large and in charge. And largely blessed. :)
We have been so busy here lately trying to get the nursery ready. We are doing a vintage rock kinda thing. I absolutely LOVE IT! I will post pics once it's all finished. If that ever happens. :)

4D Ultrasound of Hendrix
We had 4D images done of Hendrix on November 5th at 28 weeks. Mom and Graham went with Chad and I. It was really neat for Chad because he didn't get to go to Graham's because he was in Dallas for work. Graham was excited for the first two minutes and then decided that it was much more fun to play games on the iphone.
Hendrix is going to be a BIGGGGG baby and a big boy. When we went for my 18 week ultrasound, the tech measured his femur and said that his legs were a little below average and that he would probably be shorter than graham. But when his femur was measured at 28 weeks, that was a completely different story. He is measuring up to be another tall one and weighs more than Graham did at 28 weeks when we did graham's 4D.
hendrix didn't let us get many good photos of his face because that is where he likes to keep his arms and hands. he's soooo incredibly precious, though. of course, right?
This one is my favorite because he is smiling. :) I hope he was dreaming about all of the fun he is going to have with his big brother!

30 weeks THIS WEEK
30 weeks!! That means that I'm down to the single digits in number of weeks left til Hendrix's arrival!! Yikes!! And yes, I know how to do my math. :) The doc will do my c-section at 39 weeks instead of 40...if I last that long.
28 week belly photo
Here's to 28 weeks...the week of nov 5th. This pic was taken by Melissa Reibe Photography. She's awesome. And I'm dying to see the rest! They are for our Xmas cards. If u would like a card this year, email me your address. Sgueck@gmail.com
Oh, the one of all three of us is just a snapshot that my mom took before the photo session started. :)

25 weeks
Today I am 25 weeks along. Not much new to report. We have a super hyper lil baby inside. Constantly moving and constantly kicking me in the bladder. And everywhere else.
4 year checkup stats
A couple of weeks ago I took graham to dr. Martin for his 4 year checkup.
He didn't like his shots at all but didn't fight too hard. Guess its tough to fight when your legs and arms are being held down.
Graham is growing like he should. Nothing major to report.
Here are his stats:
As of october 1st
Weight: 41 lbs
Height: 42 1/4 in.
Both in the 85th percentile.
She said his biggest growth spurt was this past year and I certainly believe it. I bought him 4t pants and jeans last year at the end of fall/winter season and this year at the beginning of fall, they don't fit. Go figure. Thank goodness Hendrix will have a lot of barely worn hand-me-downs.

Veggie Tales
We took graham to see Veggie tales live at the First Baptist Church in Benton Thursday night, oct. 4th. He absolutely LOVED IT!! He got to have his picture made with Larry and Bob afterward. He didn't quite understand why they wouldn't talk to him. So I told him they had to save their voices for the next show...
