What an INCREDIBLE year!

As I sit here and think about everything that has happened in our lives throughout the year, I can't help but get absolutely giddy.

2008 has been such an amazing year and I am sad to see it go, but so excited to see what 2009 has in store for us.

This year started when we found out that we were pregnant after being told the week before we found out that we probably wouldn't be able to have children (long story but if you want to know, just ask.); I married the man of my dreams; I got an incredible raise at work; our prayers were answered and Chad got the job he's been waiting for; and I delivered the most beautiful person I have ever laid eyes on.

I have to say, it's been such an incredible year and we are so blessed to share it with all of our wonderful family and friends. Chad and I thank God everyday for everything in our lives. We often wonder what we did to deserve so much good fortune.

I can't wait to share all of Graham's milestones with you all throughout the year and I hope you all enjoy reading about them as much as I enjoy writing about them. :)

Happy New Year and God Bless!

Christmas Pictures

We hope all of our family and friends had a wonderful Christmas and had lots of fun celebrating Jesus' birthday! From our family to yours, we wish you the best for 2009! Happy New Year!!

Mommy was talking to Graham on the phone...How cute is he?!?!

As you can see, Graham was not happy at all about opening presents. Poor baby didn't get much of a nap all day and was exhausted. So daddy had to hold Graham while Mommy opened all of his presents. Mommy sure had fun!! :)

Pictures from Texarkana

Graham and I went to Texarkana this past weekend to see his Mimi and to also see his Aunt Shana...we had a wonderful weekend and a great visit!

I love my silly momma!

Graham was pooped from our trip...he passed out as soon as I put him on the floor.

Mommy is caught taking pictures again and Graham was giving me "the look."

Here Comes Santa Claus...

Graham's daycare had Santa come in for a day for all of the kiddos to see. Graham got to tell Santa everything that he wanted!
Sorry the quality of the picture is terrible but I had to scan it...and it looked like they printed it off of one of their computers.
Christmas is right around the corner! :)

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree...

...why did all of your lights go out on me???

*be sure to sing in the tune of the song* ;)

This is a picture of our tree that was taken last year...it looks exactly the same this year but different wrapping paper on the presents! A lot cuter wrapping paper at that! ;) And of course, it's not lit up.

Respiratory Infection

The past two nights Graham has woken up coughing up a lung or two and it would go on for minutes...It scared Chad and I to death because it sounds terrible! Like he is choking! So I took him to see Dr. today. After an hour and a half in the waiting area surrounded by a ton of coughing, puking, aching kids, we finally were able to get back to the room. First of all, they took Graham's weight and you are not going to believe it. 15.8 lbs!!!! My friend Amy said her lil girl was 14 lbs at 4 months. Graham is still two weeks away from 4 months. WOW! Dr. A listened to Graham's chest and she said it sounded really good so she decided to take a swab of his nose to test him for RSV (Respiratory syncytial virus) and 15 minutes later we had great news!! NO RSV!!! But she did say that he had a mild respiratory infection and for us to put a humidifier by his bed (which we already have) and to elevate his mattress w/books to help the drainage and to rub Baby Vicks on him (we do this as well). So that's all we can do. Nothing we can give him. I just wish I could take his cough away from him. He gets so exhausted after one of his spells.

Please pray for Graham's health. Especially since he is at daycare and they just put 8 new babies in his room. So there is a total of 18 babies in one room. That means lots of sickness and colds. These are the times I wish I was a stay at home mom. Just so I can keep him healthy and free from frequent colds.

On Tuesday, Chad, Graham and myself were all ICED in so we cleaned out the fireplace and built a fire. I am so glad we have a woodburning fireplace and not a gas. I grew up with a woodburning and it's just so comforting for me. I love it!

Also, our Christmas tree died on us and we are so sad. No lights for Christmas. :( That's the downfall of having a prelit tree. If one goes out, they are all out. And I certainly do not have the patience to go through every single light to find out which one it is. I'll just go buy a new tree after Christmas. We need one anyway. I've had ours for five years now. Ready for an upgrade! :)

Chad's 30th birthday is tomorrow (Thursday). I wanted to throw him a party or at least get some people together for dinner. But he wanted nothing of the such. He does NOT want to celebrate whatsoever. I did get him floor seats to the AC/DC concert! He is so excited about that!

Friday, Graham and I leave for Texarkana. We are celebrating Christmas with my step-dads family and also getting together to see Shana, my brothers' ex-wife. She hasn't met Graham yet since she lives in Savannah so she is dying to get her hands on him. I can't wait to see her! She may not be married to my brother anymore but she will ALWAYS be my sister no matter what. She's the best!

Here are some pictures that I took of Graham on Monday. Enjoy!

He's really not happy with me at all! HA!

Graham Rolled Over

Saturday morning I laid Graham on the floor for tummy time and as soon as I did, the lil stinker rolled over!! I couldn't believe it!! It looked as if he has done it a few times before cause he knew exactly what he was doing...so I ran to get my video camera and he did it again!! I wish I could upload the video but I can't upload videos until I download the software and I've tried downloading it to my home computer and it won't work. It's so frustrating cause there are so many cute videos that I would love to share with everyone. :(

I think Graham has been watching the lil girl that's in the crib next to him in daycare because I saw her rolling all over her crib last week. Graham thought to himself, "hey, I can do that! I'm not going to let a lil girl out do me!!"

Mommy and Daddy are so proud of our sweet baby boy.

Who do YOU think Graham looks like???

So, I played a lil bit on MyHeritage and I tried several different pictures and every single time it said that Graham equally looked like us.

Chad and I like to talk about whose features Graham has and so far we have determined the following:

From Mommy: His Eyes and Eyebrows, His Hair

From Daddy: Ears, Hands, Feet, his dimpled chin

Mimi (my mom): His nose

For a while, we have been trying to figure out where that nose came from because it certainly wasn't either one of ours...and then I saw Graham and Mimi together and knew exactly where that cute lil nose came from...his mimi...

We can't decide on whose mouth he has on him.

What do you think?

3 months old on the 5th of December

Here are pictures of Graham on Friday, Dec. 5th. His 3 month mark. I wish we had a well visit with his pediatrician at 3 months cause I am curious to know how much he weighs and how long he is.
I call Graham my lil piglet because he eats so much! I looked in the fridge at his daycare the other day and noticed that all of the other babies are still only taking 4oz. of milk/formula at one feeding. Not Graham. He has to have between 6 and 8oz. If he has any less, you will have to listen to him scream like a lil girl. No wonder he is so big.

Pics of Graham in his toboggan

Here is Graham in his navy toboggan...as you can see in the previous post, Mely made me 8 toboggans...now there is no excuse for Graham not to have his head nice and toasty! :) Mely made them in Mocha Brown, Chocolate Brown, Winter White, Cream, Barn Red, Navy Blue, Baby Blue, and Olive Green. She can make them in just about any color you want!
In the last picture, you can see that Graham's face is BRIGHT RED. Yep, he had a blowout and daddy got to change him...actually daddy had to give him a bath cause it was so bad...mommy was enjoying her visit at Hobby Lobby while all of the action was happening. :)

Bad Mommy???

Am I? Am I a bad mommy for not carrying pictures of my baby?

Friday afternoon when I picked Graham up from daycare, his teacher Ms. Karen asked me if I had a picture of Graham that they could use to hang on their door for a contest. I had to think for a minute if I had any in my purse or in my work bag and nope, I didn't. Ms. Karen said that if they didn't have a picture up of all of the kids, then their door wouldn't be judged so I told her I would be right back. I drove back to my office (which is only a few blocks away) and printed one off for her.

Ever since then, it has been taunting me. Am I a bad mommy?

If you read my next post, you will understand why I was so glad to have gotten the 'Brag Album'. I have been thinking about looking for one at Hallmark but never got around to it. Thanks to Jennifer, I don't have to look around. I got one at the party. And now I carry pictures of my baby in my purse.

The guilt has subsided. okay, not really. I still feel terrible. people, please tell me it's okay and I'm not a bad mommy. :)

Mommy's Night w/the Girls!

Every year my girlfriends and I get together for our annual Christmas party and this year it was at Kari Hill's house. I didn't think I was going to be able to make it this year for a couple of reasons. 1) With Chad's job, you never know what time he will get home and 2) Graham has been sick and running a lil fever here and there and I didn't want to leave him if he still had one. Thankfully Chad got off really early and he decided to have a couple of his friends over after work to watch the SEC Championship game that he recorded from earlier that day. Graham was also really great all day long and was laughing and playing with me so I decided that while Chad has a guys night, I would have my girls night. :) We had so much fun playing Chinese Christmas and Christmas pictionary. I ended up coming home with the gift that Jennifer brought which was a picture album, brag album, journal, picture frame and santa socks! All of the albums certainly come in handy since I have new baby pictures, right?? :) I kept playing the "I have a baby" card whenever someone starting looking at my gift to steal from me. It must have worked cause no one took it. :)

Amy with the scarf and hat that I brought...this was stolen from her...and then stolen again...I didn't know it was going to be such a hit!

It was my turn to draw and I got "DECK THE HALLS"...yeah, that was NOT an easy one to draw...

I had to go home to pump...I was getting quite uncomfortable...yeah, too much information, I know...but this is my blog, right? I can say what I want! :)
