Baby Neipling #2

we are FINALLY having another baby!!! i say FINALLY because that is how it feels after trying for almost a year.  i know i know, it's really not that long compared to many others that have tried way longer but it seems like forever when so much heartache and many tears have been shed to FINALLY get us here.
we couldn't be more excited!

Graham already calls it his "baby sister".  He said the other day that when she has a princess bed, he will sleep in it with her when she gets scared.  how sweet is he?!?
today marks Week 7.
i was waiting for my cycle to rear her head so i could start clomid but that never happened.
so i was relieved that i wouldn't have to worry about multiples until chad's aunt reminded me that there are a lot of multiples in their family and since they say it skips generations, it's chad's turn.  thanks, sheri!  ha!
this pregnancy has been completely different so far.
i have been so sick, it's not even funny.  the mornings are the worst.  but it's all worth it and i wouldn't trade it for the world.

Here is a timeline so i will have it documented:

Baby Neipling #2 timeline and thoughts

April 24th, 2012 – Yearly appt with Dr. Hubach

April 26th, 2012 – Started period

May 16th, 2012 – Lab work done on 21st day of cycle…progesterone level at 6.5. Hubach wrote Rx for Clomid…never had to start it, thank goodness

June 1st, 2012 – two positive pregnancy tests...soooo...May 11th, 2012 – possible conception date…possibly conceived on Mother’s day??  What an awesome Mother's Day!Monday, June 4th, 2012 – Went to Dr. Hubach’s office for blood work. She went ahead and put me on prometrium since my progesterone level was low only a few weeks ago. Because my progesterone level is low, the lining of my uterus is thin and may not be able to hold the baby. I take 100mg of prometrium in the morning and 200mg at night during the 1st trimester at least. She prescribed Zofran for nausea as needed. little did i know at the time, i was going to need it A LOT.

Tuesday, June 5th, 2012 – Went to see Dr. Hamid (my endocrinologist for my thyroid disease) for blood work as well as for an appt. She said I will see her every 4 weeks but to come in 1-2 days before appt to have lab done so she will have my results at every appt. My Synthroid dosage will change often because I do not produce thyroid for the baby and the baby needs thyroid for proper development, especially brain development.

Tuesday, June 5th, 2012 – 5:20pm – Julie from Dr. Hubach’s office called and said that my blood work came back really great and my progesterone is at 14.5 so I do not need to take prometrium. YAY!!! AWESOME AWESOME NEWS!!!

Thursday, June 7th, 2012 - Dr. Hamid called and said my thyroid level is normal and to continue with .075mc of Synthroid.
