g's first snow

on feb. 8th we got a record breaking snowstorm and it was ridiculous!!! ridiculous in a good way!! We got 8 inches!!! We enjoyed it but wished i had a 4x4. i got stuck a few times. and a couple of them being right in our driveway. ha. it's not sloped THAT much but i guess a lil bit makes a difference. and especially when you are in need of new tires. guess what i will be spending some of our tax refund on??? ha!

so many times people have said that graham looks so much like my brother, steven. steven and his wife, Yoon Hee, flew in from Korea and they stayed a few days with us. steven hadn't seen graham in a year and graham sure was happy to have him around!

have you missed us?

i have been so horrible, just terribly horrible at updating our blog. things have been busy for us and by the time i get to rest in the evenings, i just don't even have the energy to get on the computer and blog. but i am going to do my best to catch up today.

chad is scheduled to have surgery on march 2 to DEFINITELY have his tonsils taken out...while the dr is doing that, he is going to look and see if he has to take out his adenoids.

graham is going to have surgery that same week on march 4. thankfully he is not having surgery to pull down his testes cause the pediatric urologist said that is not something to worry about. they will drop completely when they are ready. what he IS having surgery on is to correct his circumcision. when my o.b. did the operation while graham and i were in the hospital, she did what they call a "conservative" circumcision and she didn't take off enough of the foreskin....so...we are going to have it redone. we have asked every.single.pediatrician. that we have seen about it because we knew it didn't look right and every.single.one said that he would grow into it and he just had a fat pouch. well, when we to see the urologist, as soon as he opened graham's diaper, he said "Oh. he isn't circumcised." and i said OH YES HE IS. so he offered to redo it. thank goodness. all of the other drs said that graham was just chubby and the urologist said that graham has thinned out enough and that is no longer the case.

man, that is going to be a crazy week with both of my guys having surgery. but thankfully i will have both of our moms here to help cause i don't have much vacation time left at all.

so...what else has been going on??? how about I just do a lot of separate posts. :)

still not healthy in 2010

so....we have been praying that 2010 would be our year for health...thus far the happiness part has worked out for us...not so much the health. I just added up all of our receipts for Rx, co-pays, dentist, medical, etc. and we spent over 6k in 2009. that is just RIDICULOUS!!!

Graham has had a double ear infection, sinus infection and stomach bug in just these 3 short weeks...I have an ear infection...and Chad has strep throat...yes, again. his third in less than 4 months....soooooo he is being referred to an ENT to have surgery scheduled to get his tonsils and possibly his adenoids taken out as well. Dr. said it's going to be a long recovery and that it's worse for him to go through as an adult. just peachy, huh?

Graham is going to see a urologist on the 22nd of this month to have the dr look at his testes again since they aren't staying dropped. it's been a big concern of ours and his pediatrician since he had his ultrasound a while back. if he needs surgery to have them pulled down, we would rather him have it sooner than later. So please keep him in your prayers.

on the bright side, we are getting the house together....slowly but surely. we just love our house and so proud to call it our home. we have met a couple of our neighbors and they seem so nice. i love our neighborhood. the drive into LR and back is still taking some getting used to but it's not too bad. i just don't enjoy filling up that Sequoia twice a week...but i have been doing a lot of running around and shopping for furniture so maybe once things settle down, i won't be spending 100.00 a week on gas for just the truck alone. I can't wait to start posting pictures of the house decorated.

I've missed all of my blog friends and I apologize that i haven't been commenting or even had much time to read your blogs...hopefully things will slow down soon and I can catch up. I miss you all and i hope you haven't forgotten about us!!!!
